Introduction
We will be delving deeper into Resident Evil Revelations 2, this time we are going to take a look at the raid mode of this game. Whereas Resident Evil Revelations 1 only had raid mode as a game mode where you could rush through the game with the main characters, Resident Evil Revelations 2 take it to complete new level!
What did I think before playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 raid mode?
After playing the main game, we were off course interested in the raid mode. Was this just another fluke, like in the previous installment? Or would this mode be worth playing? What we knew so far of raid mode was not much. We knew you could unlock multiple characters, also by playing the campaign. That is why we completed the campaign first! For more information we went to the Fandom page!

This site contains a lot of information, it would indeed have a small story! There are many different characters to unlock that you can level up! All of these characters have different skills. There was only one way to learn how this game mode really works! Time to pick up a sniper rifle for close combat to shoot up some zombies!
Rating
I rate Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid mode with an 8.6 before playing.
This mode sounded like a complete game, kill zombies to level up and gain new skills. Find new equipment and upgrade it to destroy even more zombies!
Story
The story is quite weak, you are a test subject for a new program. In this program you will be tested with impossible scenarios, outbreaks of many zombies. Since you are uploaded into a computer, you can take on the appearance of many skilled people.
Rating
I rate the story of Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode with a 5.5.
The story is just there to get you going, there are some lines after you complete certain missions or beat the game, that is all, however.
Gameplay
The gameplay is where the real meat of this game is to be found. You can choose from many different characters, however, you need to pick carefully. As each character will unlock different skills. Maybe you want Leon for his shockwave, or perhaps Barry for his crouching power? Do you like big bangs? Chris might be your go-to guy, he unlocks a rocket launcher pretty fast! The rocket launcher can kill most of the bosses in one hit! Since some bosses can instantly kill you, it might be good to keep something like that tucked away!
Every time that you level up, you will gain skill points, even at maxed level. This means that eventually you can gain all the skills in the game. Every character unlocks their fourth weapon slot at a different level. The same goes for skills. You will also have passive skills, these can increase your damage, give you more ammo, or even reduce damage! This does mean that you might need to train a character for a certain skill. When it hits max level, you can inherit and then every character can use it!
As you clear missions, you will collect new weapons, there are different kinds of weapons. Magnums and snipers are my favorite! The further that you get in the game, the better the weapons will become. Along the way you will also find upgrades, these can have a wide array of effects, from granting more damage, to gaining more experience points! If you collect enough, you can even combine them into better upgrades! All weapons have upgrade slots, the more powerful the weapon, the less it has!

I rate the gameplay of Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode with a 9.6
It is insane how long you can play this game mode, it is almost bigger than the campaign! How many characters will you level up?
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics take a lot from the campaign, however most of the missions make levels from other Resident Evil games. A prime example is Resident Evil 6. If you did play Resident Evil Revelations 1, you will also notice levels from that game. Including some of the bosses, like the chainsaw monsters! We did enjoy the graphics, there were enough zombies to kill!
Sound
The soundtracks in Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid mode are amazing! You will get sucked in this game, there are enough exploding zombies for you to avoid!
Rating
I rate the sound and graphics of Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode with an 8.4.
Despite that some assets have been re-used, it has been changed enough that you will enjoy the levels!
What did I think after playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode?
My wife and I had a lot of fun when playing this game, we managed to level both characters to the max! We even collected some unique weapons. As you try to clear missions, you will also get medals for performing certain feats. This means that you will not use herbs at all, if you run out of bullets, you can pay new one with gold that you collect from clearing missions!
If you are interested in co-op, this is the perfect game for you! The zombies are waiting for you! There are also major bosses to fight for you. It is better to prepare well for these fights, make sure that your skills are up to date! There is even a secret difficulty to unlock if you manage to beat all levels!

What are my personal thoughts about Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode?
This was a fun game mode that my wife and I invested a lot of hours into! We even managed to unlock the new difficulty mode. Leveling characters was easy to do once you had a level 100 character to power level other characters!

My personal Rating of Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode with an 8.2.
If you are interested in fast-paced action, this might be the perfect game mode for you!

It’ s a much more complete mode than I expected, it certainly sounds like a complete separate game, sounds like a killing floor but with a residen evil theme
Destroy all zombies, non stop!
