Introduction
Today we are going to look at another idle game, this game is from the same developer as Legend of Idleon. This game is called Idle skilling, there will be no walking around in this game, all you have screens upon screens of idle activity, there is no real story, but there are monsters to fight, and each world has monsters for you to face. Along with that, there will be secrets to unravel, items to craft, pet battles, and a lot more!
What did I think before playing Idle Skilling?
We started this game after Legends of Idleon kind of got destroyed by world 4, since we were looking for a new idle game. This game seemed to be a good replacement, so, we dived into this game. It was recently released on Steam, so this was the perfect time as we now also had a Steam page to check for more information!
The Steam Page

At first glance we can already see there will be many skills to level up, so, many, skills. The research lab intrigued me, I was curious as to how it would work. It seems that even fighting monsters could be done when idling. However, it would make sense that doing this active would give better results. There was only one way to find out if this game was going to be fun!
Rating
I rate Idle Skilling with a 6.7 before playing.
I was a bit wary of this game as it did not have any way to walk around, just screens but despite that, I was very intrigued.
Gameplay
While the game starts out slow, with only a few screens to open up, it soon starts expanding. As you unlock new skill trees, new things will be unlocked. The main goal is to kill a boatload of monsters but to do so, you need a lot of damage. To upgrade your basic skill for damage, you need to unlock new screens where you can level up skillers. These will farm experience points and water for you. Water is needed for ascension
Before you know it, you will be unlocking mining and fishing, these are two very important abilities as you are going to need these to craft new items and weapons. These are very important for increasing your damage. You can also level up the miners, the fisher, or even the person training your strength level. This will never be enough damage in the end, as soon, you will unlock even more skills, crusading, alchemy, farming, pet keeping, pet battles, spelunking, spiritual, and even contracts.
This is off course, going to be hard to manage, let alone when even more things come knocking on your door. And then, there is ascension. This will reset a lot of your progress, but it will give you insane buffs to get more damage, then you will repeat the cycle again and again but each time you will get stronger, and the way back goes faster. And at the end, you may even rebirth, granting even better perks! This is an infinite loop, and you could go on, for a long time as you make your way through new zones to face monsters.
Rating
I rate the gameplay of Idle skilling with a 7.8.
It depends on what you like in a game, but the loop can get very addicting as you need to micromanage a lot, this will suck up a lot of your hours!
Sound and Graphics
Graphics
The graphics are pretty bad, A lot of the monsters get re-used by just changing a few colors. Then, those monsters come back without changes as variants, 1,2,3 etc. They did not even get a color swap! There is however a lot of variety in the graphics. If you are playing this game, it is not because it looks pretty.
Sound
There is literally, no sound or sound effects.
Rating
I rate the sound and graphics of Idle skilling with a 2.0.
Man, what am I even looking at? I might need a magnifying glass to see it correctly.
What did I think after playing Idle Skilling?
We did have a lot of fun, and we ascended many times and even got close to doing a rebirth but the time this game was sucking was literally insane, as we had to micro mange everything every hour or so. Was this skill still doing its thing? Did we have enough ore yet? Do we need to swap to the next monsters? Is there a raid to do yet? Maybe we need to upgrade this, or even that.
Despite the time drain, doing active battles is fun. You have multiple skills that you can learn in the skill tree, you can even upgrade them to become stronger! Then you also have super moves, these can take out huge droves of large enemies! There is also a skill that is made for bosses called icicles. This is a skill that will become useful for killing bosses. Then there are also cards to hunt, pets to collect, oh, there is so much to do in this game. Did I mention raid boss and asylum bosses yet?
Rating
I rate Idle skilling after playing with a 7.1.
Dude, there are way too many skills in this game, how can one living sane being even keep track of all these skills? Let alone boost the damage need to those high numbers.
What are my personal thoughts about Idle Skilling?
While this was a fun game, the time drain is unlike anything I have ever seen. It is just, wow, so much time has been vaporized!
Rating
My personal Rating of Idle Skilling is a 5.5.
The time drain is just too big.

Time drain is too big for me but thanks for this review
You are welcome, it is indeed a time drain!
The only clicker I can play is coockie clicker.
Why are they still launching more clicker games? I never Gott Info them.
Some people like clicker games, it does need to be your thing
What kind of game is that?
Thanks for the review 😉
You are welcome!
Nice
Looks good
I’ve really only enjoyed Cookie clicker. Nice article !
I liked any Idle games.
Idlers in general waste too much time and their cycle of addiction isn’t healthy…you could use the hours you spend on them for so many other things. And in some games of the genre, people take advantage of their addicting nature to make you pay real money!
Thanks for the review, but the game…….. Meh
Not for me
It is indeed, very addictive, many people do pay real money!
Now I’m going to go and be idle 🙂
We all want to be idle!
kewl!
Looks like a fun game to don’t play seriously, otherwise takes too long
Good review!
Fun and little weird game)
It’s not little at all!
rather not game for me but thanks for review
Game not for me, but thanks)
These idlers look like fun but they’re way too addictive. Not worth it. I don’t want to be constantly micromanaging a game.
Nice review, thanks!
Not an idler fan. Good review though.
Definitely it’s not my type of game. Thanks for the review!
