Introduction

Today we are going to look at a Mobile game from the developers, these developers make mostly Jurassic World games, mainly two of them. Jurassic World alive and Jurassic World the game, for this review we are going to look at Jurassic World the Game. As this is a mobile game, expect microtransactions and a lot of grinding.  If you love dinosaurs, however, this game has you build a great park full of dinosaurs! As there is no real story except for a few missions that will give you rewards, I will not write a story section in this review.

What did I think before playing Jurassic World the Game?

It is by chance that I found this game, I have played Jurassic World Alive in the past, this game review is still in the works, but I saw Ludia have more games! Jurassic World, the Game. For the review, I wanted the full experience, thus I also took a membership called the VIP membership. It all depends on your personal taste if you like the extras that this membership will give you! For more information, we went to the official website of Jurassic World the Game.

The Jurrasic World Page

https://www.jurassicworld.com/games/jurassic-world-game
The site is a bit cluttered and does not give a lot of information, the app store page works better. However, it is clear that you will need to manage a park with dinosaurs, create the park in your vision but also make sure that your park makes profits, as you also need to feed the dinosaurs! There are also battles, as there are a lot of dinosaurs.

Rating

I rate Jurassic World the Game with an 8.5 before playing.
If you are interested in Mobile games and like dinosaurs, this might be a fun game for you! It is both on Android and Apple.

Gameplay

It is your goal in this game to build an efficient park with high level dinosaurs that you can use to fight opponents and clear events. As your park grows, your park will also level up, which unlocks more expansion for your park. Each level up also unlocks a battle stage to fight in, these battle stages will give you different rewards, sometimes these can even unlock a new dinosaur! How do you create a dinosaur, though?

You will need to obtain DNA to create dinosaurs, DNA can be obtained in various ways like completing daily events. You can also sell unwanted dinosaurs, but the dinosaurs earn money for your park. All dinosaurs have a timer and a tooltip on how many coins they will make in that time. In the beginning, the trikey will net you a lot of money! With that money, you can produce food to level up your dinosaurs!

You can also build buildings for your park, but these net almost no money, thus you should only build them for the missions. Each dinosaur has a type for battling, they also have a weakness, you would do wise to learn these weaknesses and strengths! Keep in mind that creating new dinosaurs is always useful, but incubation can take long, some dinosaurs even take a week before you can hatch them! Better dinosaurs can also give you more coins, you can also place decorations in your park to increase the income from dinosaurs!

The daily events can give you new kinds of dinosaur depending on your park level, when you are higher level you will also unlock Cenozoic creatures and aquatic ones! There is also the trade harbor and many other things to learn in Jurassic World the Game, but as this is a mobile game you will need to check in everyday to get the most out of your experience and this can be very time-consuming!

Rating

I rate the gameplay of Jurassic World the Game with a 7.0
I would love to give this game a higher rating, but since it is mobile, there are a lot of money distractions and loot boxes. You can play this game completely free to play, but a lot of people will be tempted to pay money to buy better dinosaurs.

Sound and Graphics

Graphics

The graphics are good for a mobile game, and the textures of the dinosaurs look good. Each ten level ups, your dinosaur will change into a stronger variant, which will also show! The buildings look fun, but they are not useful in the game, the roads are also not useful in this game, but they look great!

Sound

The sound is not very good, as the same soundtrack will come back every time. The sound effects are good, but they will get stale quickly. It is better to play this game muted.

Rating

I rate the sound and graphics of Jurassic World, the Game, with a 7.0.
The sound is not very good, but the dinosaurs are quite fun to look at! Their roars never bore me!

What did I think after playing Jurassic World the game?

Even though, my wife and I had a lot of fun when playing this game for quite some time before reviewing. We decided to up and quit this game after the review was made. This game took up too much time of the day, especially collecting all the coins each time, keeping up with the daily events and tournaments! Some matches are very unbalanced, even if you have a good line up of dinosaurs!

Mechanic wise, there are some flaws here and there in this game, but it is a lot of fun to play. It is however not really free to play, as you need a membership to fully enjoy this game. There are also  lots of expensive microtransactions!

Rating

I rate Jurassic World the Game with a 6.0 after playing.
There is just too much nudging to get you to spend money in this game, but gameplay wise Jurassic World the Game is a very good game!

What are my personal thoughts about Jurassic World the game?

There is a reason that we both quit, it just took up too much of our time because we were being controlled to check in the events every day! If you start this game and want to keep up, you will need a paid membership and a lot of free time, which we do not have.

Rating

My personal rating of Jurassic World the Game is an 8.5!
This is a great game, but way too addictive!

I agree with the microtransaction part, however, the gameplay and other elements do deserve some praise. If this was a normal game with no microtransaction, there would be a lot more players!

The gameplay is great, however the way that they handle this mobile game is bad, if they would remove the microtransactions and time management issues, this would be a great game!

These games are the worst, time management, like The Simpsons game from a few years ago where you had to rebuild Springfield. Addictive yes, pretty yes, pointless, also yes.
    Good review anyway 😉

Looks like a fun diversion (and with dinos to boot), and that’s the reason I will stay away. The time management genre has its merits, but at one point I just had to stop… Microtransactions are an addictive evil in itself – you do it once or twice to bump your progress just a bit, but then it nevers stops, as you feel already invested in the ongoing progress. Had to wrestle myself away from a similar game by an act of sheer will.

I know the feeling, I hope microtransaction goes away. Unfortunately, they are here to stay since people keep buying these transactions.
